The First Shall Be Last

Once only in cities
deprivation on streets
angels with dirty faces
no shoes on their feet
no warmth, no comfort, no food
whoever they meet.

Spare a thought for the wealthy
having to see this spilt
all over the street
way up to the hilt
hard life for a rich man
a millionaires guilt.

The first shall be last
the table will turn
the hungry are fed
the guilty will yearn
stoke up the fire
in hell injustice will burn.
